Pre-release checks

python -m build
python -m twine check dist/*

Versioning

Update the package version in the canonical project metadata, update CHANGELOG.md, and create the release tag according to the repository's established release process.

Publish

Publishing should remain a deliberate, manually gated CI operation.

Post-release verification

bash
python -m pip install --upgrade gitaiflow
gitaiflow --version
gitaiflow --help

Then verify a real summary run with a configured AI provider.
