## Pre-release checks

```bash
python -m build
python -m twine check dist/*
```

Run the project's test suite before publishing.

## Versioning

Update the package version in the canonical project metadata, update `CHANGELOG.md`, and create the release tag according to the repository's established release process.

## Publish

Publishing should remain a deliberate, manually gated CI operation.

## Post-release verification

```bash
python -m pip install --upgrade gitaiflow
gitaiflow --version
gitaiflow --help
```

Then verify a real summary run with a configured AI provider.
