Build

Validate distribution metadata

Test

Lint

TestPyPI

make publish-testpypi

Then test installation from TestPyPI in a clean environment.

PyPI

make publish

Publishing is deliberately a separate action from building.

Post-release smoke test

python -m pip install --upgrade djangoplay-cli
dplay --version
dplay --help

Then test against a real DjangoPlay development repository.
