================================================================================ Trademarks
"astwire" is the name of this project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, DeepSeek, or any other LLM provider whose prompt format its output can optionally target.
astwire references third-party LLM providers/formats by name solely to describe output compatibility (i.e. "astwire can emit a prompt bundle formatted for Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or DeepSeek"). This does not imply any partnership, certification, or affiliation with the respective trademark holders.
- "Claude" is a trademark of Anthropic PBC.
- "OpenAI" and "GPT" are trademarks of OpenAI, L.L.C.
- "DeepSeek" is a trademark of DeepSeek AI.
================================================================================ Third-party software
The astwire source distribution depends on the following, unmodified:
pathspec MPL 2.0 License https://github.com/cpburnz/python-pathspec
tomli MIT License
https://github.com/hukkin/tomli
(Python < 3.11 only; Python 3.11+ uses the standard-library tomllib)
The compiled standalone binary additionally bundles, unmodified:
Nuitka Apache License 2.0 https://github.com/Nuitka/Nuitka
tiktoken (optional, when present at compile time) MIT License https://github.com/openai/tiktoken
Development-only tooling (pytest, ruff, zstandard, patchelf) is not distributed with the compiled binary and is omitted above; see pyproject.toml [project.optional-dependencies] for the current list.
Each dependency is used as an unmodified library dependency via standard package management (pip) and retains its own license and copyright, which governs that dependency independently of the proprietary license covering astwire's own source code.
================================================================================ Local execution
astwire performs all analysis locally using Python's standard-library
ast module. It does not upload source code, does not execute the
code it analyzes, and does not transmit any data to a remote service.
See architecture/security-and-privacy.md for details.
